Final NYT Grid Shorts

Above: Sheila’s final short, FDN 1111 Sec 06, Fall 2009. Our semester long investigation of color included some time devoted to our New York Times grid studies and subsequent color ‘”machines”(see our Geotypografika Flickr set). The problem concluded with a challenge to create a one minute stop-motion film using their final hand-painted surfaces as their focus.
All sound had to be self generated, and you will hopefully be pleasantly surprised by the variety of sound produced, including, in some cases, the absence of it! Many of the details also reveal idiosyncrasies not captured in previous postings.
