GRD_2000_SP11 Process GIFs
Quick charrette yields some promising results.
Above: Tracy’s inspired first attempt brought down the house. This Spring’s introductory level grupetto responded with gusto to yesterday’s in-class charrette, creating a GIF file that would respond to the question, “What is Graphic Design?” These build on discussions and projects we had begun in the last three weeks, (more on those static experiments soon!). Most of the students had never created a GIF, and we relied on each other to help investigate and solve technical questions. Look for new results next week as the students are now free to extend these rough proposals.
Above: Jenny takes flight. We were inspired by the stunning collection of GIFs on iamnotanartist.org, a part of the Elisava School of Design’s (Barcelona) internet presence. An incredible collection that keeps growing.

Above: Molly’s endless scroll takes a bounce! Many thanks to the entire grupetto for their first efforts. Weiter so! Can’t wait for next week.
