Geotypografika has been quiet lately.
Above: Something from the Minnesota State Fair. Amid the recent controversies over
IKEA’s decision to change faces, it’s nice to see into la Futura again.
My sincere apologies for the recent funkstille. The studio move has experienced a few delays, and the time to finish has been pleasantly interrupted by the beginning of another semester at MCAD. I am looking forward to posting some new student work soon, a fresh group of typonauten have already impressed with hard work and no lack of gutsu posu! See the below sampling by Brian, Annie, and Dan.
Above: Brian Walbergh, MCAD student. In this first assignment, meant to help shake loose any summer cobwebs, the students chose five headlines from five separate countries and had free reign to interpret the character of that headline typographically.

Above: Dan Ferro, MCAD student. We’ve already entered the second, more restrictive stage of this initial experiment, please stop by and see more soon.
