Counter-Print Magazine
Issue 09 features three separate publications.
Above: Counter-Print, Issue 09. Formally Eight: 48, this UK magazine has been reinvented and now includes three separate papers per issue, and also ships worldwide. Issue 09 starts with Paper #01, which “focuses on the art and design of freight, taking a global view at the history, symbolism and craft behind their ornamentation.” It was a delight to be contacted by Counter-Print for permission to run an article on my research in Doha, Qatar on the ‘human rebranding’ of truck logos (see below, also discussed in a larger context here).
