Kizuna / MacPhail Center for Music
April 2, 2011 6:00PM. Minneapolis, MN.
Above: Erik Brandt, 2011 (18×24, offset, cropped). This petit lapin has many lives, thank goodness. After the relative ‘success’ of the original design (now available via D4J and Print-Process), a local group of Japanese ex-patriots and sponsors have gathered to host an fundraiser on April 2nd, 2011 (doors open at 6:00PM) at the MacPhail Center for Music.
No small amount of kismet was involved in this project. After speaking with Yuko Miyamoto and Tomoko Fujiwara, I was humbled and delighted to donate this poster and amend it for this new drive to raise funds. The drive is being spearheaded by the Japan America Society of Minnesota.
Please consider attending this evening of music by local jazz musicians, an opportunity to send personal video messages to Japan, as well as a silent auction. The poster itself will also be for sale before and after the event, all proceeds to benefit aid to Japan. Special thanks to Yuko and Tomoko for their inspiration and to all the sponsors who are making this possible.
