Renowned Israeli designer visits Minneapolis.
Thanks to the kind support of MCAD President Jay Coogan, renowned graphic designer Yossi Lemel will be visiting Minneapolis and giving a talk this Sunday morning, April 18, 11:00AM in Auditorium 150. This timely event is free and open to the public.
Yossi is an internationally recognized poster designer from Tel Aviv, Israel with a long-standing and fearless commitment to humanitarian issues, especially with regard to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts Jerusalem in 1983, and has since gained an international reputation for his brave, insightful, and sometimes controversial images.
Yossi is currently on a lecture tour of the USA, including stops in El Paso, Texas, and Seattle, Washington. Yossi’s presentation at MCAD will also cover his most recent efforts, “Holocaust Memories,” a deeply moving work on his family and the Holocaust. Watch a video of his interview in Leadel below.
