Ghoba Mosque

The brave and the brutalized still march!

Above: Video of Sunday’s rallies around Ghoba Street and mosque. Many apologies
for the funkstille as of late, moving days are now (more or less) complete. As we know,
the mood in Iran seems subdued, but there is continued protest even today.
The Huffington Post began archiving their liveblog into daily sections recently,
and they ran another video of the same protest (see below).

Above: More from Ghoba, and though the numbers are dwindling, one can’t help
but be inspired the incredible bravery of these people still fighting on despite the
brutal and murderous repression they are facing. Internet speeds are at an all time
low, and communicating is as difficult as ever.

Above: Nico Pitney reports that after Sunday’s announcement of the latest victory
declaration on official state TV, people once again took to their rooftops en masse,
and their combined voices were “…like the stars were calling out Allah-o Akbar.”

Allah O Akbar.

UPDATE: Allah O Akbar, June 29.

Signs of hope, see this recent comment here on Geotypografika for the post, “Iran Facebook Protests”:

“People think its calm but liten it is not. The spite is free now and no way back. But is gonna be long hot summer in Tehran. Freedom at last.”
