UPDATED: Iran / Allah O Akbar

The voices of the people cry out for help.

Above: Found via Rene Wanner on Facebook, video footage of the Iranian people calling out ‘God is Great’ at night, from windows and terraces, rooftops and streets. Truly some of the most moving moments ever caught on video? As I prepare this,
I hear via a friend on Facebook that Police are breaking into homes and yards to
find those chanting!

Relevant links and updates can be found in The people take to the streets and Iran Facebook Protests. Please feel free to post or send word of more. As communications are slowly being strangled by the dark forces behind these events, Mousavi makes a statement, but the violence and protests show no signs of diminishing.

Solidarity with the green wave. Allah O Akbar!

Come on Biden…I know you’re old…but try keeping up with the rest of us & declare this election a “Fraud”!
& while I’m on the subject of the fake election in Iran, where’s Obama? Asleep as well, I suppose! After all wasn’t he the one who preached & promoted “Change”!
There’s a saying…”A week is a long time in Politics”. Watch for that in Iran this week.
Change is on the way this week in Iran, by the majority of its people, for the majority of its people!
But the rest of us around the world that take our own rights for granted must join with the people in their quest for what they won in their election. This Ahmadinejad…is no football match non event…it’s the most serious event since 1979 & you’re going to be packing like Nicolae Ceausescu of Romania…who got his comeuppance when the people rebelled. So Ahmadinejad, start counting the seconds…because your ousted second is advancing!

I see people in Tehran are all shouting out their windows “God is great” & the Iranian police are trying to break into to as many houses as they can, on hearing same. I think the whole world should shout “God is Great, free Iran” on some night this week. We the free world, have got to help them in any way we can, this is too important in “Humanity” terms not to join in with fellow “Human Beings” who have earned their freedom by winning their election. So people of the “World Unite” how about it? Allan, could you post this on Twitter & Face-book, as I don’t subscribe…& see what response it would have. It’s just an idea, but everything should help. And maybe Obama would get the message, too. Because he seems to be slow to ACT!

Allah O Akbar…Allah, I am sorry I got your name wrong, I apologize…but this subject is really getting to me thought-wise. This election crooked outcome has got to be righted!

So grateful for these comments, and I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly. It is time to act, that is what the people need, support from the world! Haven’t we learned anything from the new international community? What does nationality mean online today? We are all affected by this great injustice, ALL!

How can Obama say he didn’t know that the elections were rigged? & how can he recognize Ahmadinejad still as the lawful President of Iran?

This just doesn’t make sense!

PS…I’m glad at least he made a statement…& it’s about time, but I’d like to know how Iran’s cheated elected will respond.

The fight for freedom? Iran has given its people more rights than any Islamic country.

Only the far-right neo-cons support a new revolution to turn the beautiful Iran into your style of democracy of Pakistan, Egypt or Iraq.

Why do westerners feel the urge to interfere in every countries affairs. I am not even Iranian, and all Muslims are 100% behind the Ayotullah. Only those Muslims that are corrupted by the worldly affairs such as money, games and sex hate the freedom that currently exists in Iran.

Let me ask you, how many of you have actually been to Iran?

How can you judge if you have not been, you see these images yet they may be distorted by a corrupter. Enlighten yourself instead of blindly following your Nazi leaders.

By the way, I thank the USA and UK for bringing FREEDOM to Iraq, now we have been sent back 100 years. 1.7 million have died, 4 million refugees, 80% unemployment, no more oil production, and a new dictatorship that follows the commands from you people.

God bless Mahmoud Ahmedinajad, and God bless the Grand council. And as a Sunni, it is hard to say but I hope that other Muslim countries can one day revolt against their leaders and follow the example of the Islamic Republic of Iran and be free from western interference.

Thank you everyone, for your comments, they are so very much appreciated. I wish for an Iran, and a world, where these types of discussions are not banned, or filtered, or taken down. I wish for a world, where these things happen as they are happening for you and I right now. I wish for an Iran where that can happen right now, without further bloodshed.

Most importantly, I just want to keep talking to my friends in Iran, who are some of the most exciting graphic and typographic designers in the world. I want to have workshops with them again, I want their students to travel here, and I want our students to travel there. I want us to learn from each other and make even more amazing advances in visual communication.

That’s about it. I just love type, and other people who love type. My friends in Iran love type, and so I love them. May they be safe and may they prosper and may their voices be heard.
