Tehran / Naz

Persian forms.

Above: Sample designs from Naz in Tehran, Iran. Still a student, young Naz is reaching
out for feedback on her work and has asked to share them here, bravo!

Above: Another version. Mamnoon am, for sharing your work here, Naz!

Wonderful stuff, the background forms in both designs remind you of over-sized projections of portions of the Persian text, yet the first one also reminds you of a city skyline or perhaps a subway map, depending on where you look; the bottom one looks like waves crashing against cliffs or a headland. Both simple and anything but simple, quite appealing.
I like the use of the elements from the script, it reminds me of the work in the Seattle-Tehran Poster Show: http://virtualsound.vox.com/library/post/seattle-tehran-poster-show.html

I think the persian motives are the motives required for graphic arts in the world.
