Above: A kind hello in the mail yesterday via The Offices of Kat Ran Press, who are working on an excellent resource for both students and practitioners, stamp and type designs from the masters. The history of this Office is equally interesting, and a wide array of their work is available online.

From their website: “Kat Ran Press was founded in 1994 with the aim of combining contemporary art with classical typography via traditional bookmaking techniques.
We’ve been very fortunate to do this for such a long period of time, but as we pondered issues of design, function, and use, we’ve decided to not limit ourselves to letterpress printing and handmade paper, and to incorporate modern methods of book production.”

Toi, toi, toi! Cheers for saying hello, Kat Ran, and many thanks for this resource.
