Typography for Lawyers?

Apropo the Law…

Above: From the eponymous website by Matthew Butterick. Now a practicing lawyer, Butterick has a working background in both graphic design and type design. Some really interesting details on his long list of recommendations, worth a look.

Above: I can’t help but point out a wee adjustment for the home page. No disrespect intended, just an idea. Still seems just a bit off, but almost there.

Found via the excellent, Artsmonitor. Highly recommended.

Sooo happy a lawyer is looking into, and trying to fix, this issue. I spend a fair portion of my time at work dealing with prints for legal affairs, and I gotta say, it’s not fun to see the standard typesetting.

Perhaps the next phase is getting everyone to use a standard paper size and bindery method…

Definitely one of the better posts I’ve read in a while. Thanks!
